Jay Scherer

Jay specializes in developing and implementing new
solutions at SSP. Leveraging experience working with executives
and companies facing difficult change, he focuses on seeking practical
solutions to the complexities of human and organization transition.
Jay's experience includes 13 years in change management
and career development consulting, plus six years of corporate
experience with Amoco and GATX Corporation.
He has developed numerous new approaches to contemporary
career issues including work on leadership/career development
for high potentials, career transition processes, personal branding,
internal "redeployment" in large organizations, second
career planning, on-site skills training during downsizing, retention,
performance management, mentoring and leadership coaching.
He has worked with dozens of CEOs and Presidents
in transition, designed and led very large scale downsizing projects
(including one project impacting 11,000 employees), and created
and implemented an innovative, global retention project for high
value employees.
Jay has been interviewed by Business Week, Chicago
Tribune, USA Today, and National Public Radio. He has an MS in
Management and a BBA in Finance, both from the University of Wisconsin
- Madison.
