Jeff Carroll

Jeff joined Scherer Schneider Paulick with over 20 years of broad-based business and human resources management experience, including 10 years as a senior HR leader with GTE (Verizon) and Unilever.  In addition, Jeff has also served as the VP, Human Resources at two middle-market service firms, where he developed and implemented an HR strategy and organization that was closely aligned with the mission of the business.  Jeff possesses strong interpersonal skills that have allowed him to work effectively with all levels of management, especially at the executive level.  In addition, Jeff exhibits a passion for enhancing a company’s organizational capability through the use of succession planning, leadership development and strategic coaching. 

Jeff began his career with GTE Corporation on the Human Resources Associate Development Program.  During his tenure with GTE, Jeff held both specialist and generalist HR positions at the corporate, divisional and field level that took him to Boston, Los Angeles, Stamford, Ct., Indianapolis and Chicago.  He joined Van den Bergh Foods (division of Unilever) in 1990 as Director of Management, where he developed and directed the recruitment and leadership/organization development processes.  During this time, Jeff led a company-wide transition, moving from a functional to a team-based organization and trained senior management in effective coaching strategies for high-potential individuals. 

Jeff grew up in Connecticut and received both his Masters (MS, Counseling Psychology) and Bachelors (BS, Psychology) degrees from Illinois State University.  He moved to Chicago in 1989 and currently resides in Naperville with his wife and three children.
