Our next book signing event is
scheduled for March 16th at the Hotel Sofitel in
Rosemont. We are featuring Conor Cunneen and his
book,
Why Ireland Never Invaded America, An Insightful Unique Look at Corporate
Strategy.
A business book you can’t put down. This is James Joyce
meets Tom Peters. It combines mystical Irish imagery and
business storytelling at its finest. Companies and brands
that are referenced in the book include Lexus, Starbucks,
Harley Davidson, McDonald’s and JetBlue.
American Jake Boyd vacations in Ireland for seven days and
meets his Irish cousin, Finbarr Kozlowski. Jake’s six-year
old business is struggling. To Jake’s surprise, his Irish
cousin, Finbarr, happens to be a business guru. He is an
expert, who takes Jake through lessons in a book which
ex-Heinz Chairman and CEO Tony O’Reilly has described as “an
enchanting mélange of good business sense wrapped in a
mixture of Irish situation comedy and straightforward
whimsy.”
Conor Cunneen is an Irishman, happily exiled in the United
States. An internationally acclaimed speaker on Strategy,
Marketing, Leadership, and Motivation, his speaking
engagements in 2005 include the US, England, Finland,
Scotland, and Ireland. A former Vice President of
Marketing, he has been published over forty times on
marketing and strategy topics. He is a recent winner of the
Chicago Toastmasters Humorous Speaker of the Year title.
The author is co-host of Job Talk, a Chicago radio program
